McLennan County Indigent Health Care Program

The Health Services Department provides health care services to eligible residents through the county and public hospitals in Waco. A household is eligible if its monthly net income does not exceed 21% of the Federal Poverty Guideline and it does not qualify for other state or federal health care assistance programs. Services include: immunizations, medical screening services, annual physical exams, inpatient and outpatient hospital services, rural health clinics, laboratory and X-ray services, family planning services, physician services, payment for not more than three prescription drugs a month, and skilled nursing facility services, regardless of the patient’s age.
