Prosper Waco and Waco Independent School District came together to discuss the 29 initiatives implemented by Prosper Waco, as well as their three other ongoing projects.
“Prosper Waco executive director Matthew Polk gave an overview of the organization’s progress at Thursday night’s school board meeting. Prosper Waco focuses on bringing resources and community leaders together.”
Polk outlined the collective impact model while going in-depth about the projects implemented around the city.
Project Link, a program created to develop a college-going culture by linking Waco students to post-secondary education and advanced workforce opportunities, serves University High School and La Vega High School, and has recently expanded to Waco High School.
“The collaboration between the two entities and many others will keep the city moving forward,” Waco ISD Board President Pat Atkins said.
