Waco community members understand how important Kindergarten Readiness is in our community, which is why one of the Prosper Waco initiative’s goals is to increase the percentage of children entering Kindergarten ready to thrive and succeed.
One tool that can help address this goal is a free parenting app called Vroom! Vroom is a free app that community members can download on their smartphones, tablets or computer and it provides daily, age-appropriate brain building activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers to do with an adult. If you don’t have access to the Internet, no worries! Give us a call at 254-741-0081 and we will give you a physical copy of the activities.
Watch this Vroom video to learn how you can become a brain builder today!
Here are some tips on how you can help create awareness about Vroom in our community:
- Dropbox Folder
- Out & About
- Social Media
- Contact Us
Contained in this dropbox folder is everything you need to help promote Vroom. From posters to notecards, these bilingual materials allow you to go out in the community and share with friends, neighbors and other community members one tool that can help prepare infants, toddlers and preschoolers to enter Kindergarten ready to learn. If you wish to share these Vroom activities with others, please do not alter or edit them in any way. In order to preserve scientific accuracy, Vroom activities should always appear verbatim, exactly as they are written here, and in their entirety, including the brainy backgrounds. If these activities are shared, Vroom acknowledgement and attribution is requested and appreciated (via Vroom website).
When you are out and about in the community, post this flyer on community job boards or hand out Vroom stickers for employers and organizations to place around the workplace.
When you engage in brain building activities with infants, toddlers and preschoolers, make sure to take a picture and use #Vroom254 on all social media platforms!
If you have questions, need more information or want to learn how to obtain physical copies of the activities and other Vroom materials, please contact Christina Helmick or call 254-741-0081.
