Prosper Waco welcomes its new Director of Health Initiatives.
Prosper Waco is pleased to welcome Marcus “Ahmier” Gibson as its new Director of Health Initiatives.
Ahmier brings a unique blend of public health expertise, strategic leadership and community engagement to the role. Guided by a passion for health equity and people-centered solutions, he has built his career around creating partnerships that improve health outcomes and strengthen communities.
His experience includes developing trauma-informed, whole-person approaches to care at Legacy Community Health, leading strategic communications initiatives and collaborating with organizations across sectors to advance meaningful, sustainable change. He also serves as vice chair of the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Rising Leaders, where he helps cultivate emerging leaders and strengthen community partnerships.
Ahmier earned a Master of Public Health from Western Governors University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Management through the MBA track at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship. His work reflects a commitment to combining data-informed decision-making with authentic community engagement to create systems that better serve people.
