Dr. John Ashley Allen comes to us from Louisiana with breadth of experience in education, public administration, and budgeting. Dr. Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2002 and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2006. He earned his Doctor of Education degree from Northwestern State University (NSU) in 2022 and his dissertation research focused on ethical leadership.
Dr. Allen developed his passion for public service during his eight years as a senior budget analyst for the U.S. General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service. John served as the Director of Administration and Chief of Staff at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts for ten years.
In the new Deputy Director position, Dr. Allen will provide direct support and thought partnership to the CEO and leadership within our team, while cultivating robust connections throughout the organization and community. This strategic approach aims to enhance the efficiency of Prosper Waco's resources, streamline business procedures, and elevate administrative functions.
